Amla is an Ayurvedic herb that increases Agni (digestive fire) and pacifies all three doshas, Vata Pitta and Kapha. It is extremely high in Vitamin C, enhances food absorption, balances stomach acid, fortifies the liver, nourishes the brain and mental functions, supports the heart, strengthens the lungs, regulates elimination of free radicals, enhances fertility and helps the urinary system. Externally it strengthens and rejuvenates both skin and hair.
