Oatstraw (Avena sativa)
This herb is very nourishing, lowers cholesterol, strengthens the nervous system and improves its function, and is therefore good for depression. It increases energy, especially where long term stress and tension has depleted the body’s energy supply, and is also relaxing. Good for insomnia, MS and nerve pain. It increases brain energy which makes it easier to stay sleeping once you fall asleep.
Active ingredients: E.g. Sapanoids, Alkaloids, Flavonoids, Silicic Acid, Starch, Protein and a whole lot of Vitamins B and Minerals, especially Calcium.
How to use: 3 capsules before bedtime to maintain sleep but can be taken more frequently during the day if the aim is to nourish the nervous system. 1 teaspoon in water before sleep or more often during the day. If tea then let 1 teaspoon steep for 10 minutes before drinking.
