Elderflower (Sambucus nigra)
Elderflowers are antiseptic and anti-inflammatory and are therefore excellent for colds, flu and other respiratory ailments. They are also diuretic, purifying, laxative and rich in antioxidants. They are both antiviral and antibacterial, strengthen the immune system and are helpful for allergies. Externally they are analgesic, anti-inflammatory and hemostatic (stop bleeding in wounds).
