Birch Leaves (Betula pubescens)
The leaves are diuretic, antibacterial and strengthening. Birch is excellent for edema because of its diuretic effects, but it needs to be used for some time for it to have benefits. It flushes out extra fluid that is trapped in the body. It can be used for cystitis or other urinary infections. It has also been used for gout, fibromyalgia and arthritis.

Active ingredients: E.g. Saponin, Glycosides and Flavonoids.

How to use: 1 tablespoon in a cup of boiling water, steep for 15 minutes and put a lid on the cup. This dose is for medicinal purposes but for general health use 1 teaspoon.
