Fireweed (Epilobium angustifolium)
Fireweed is demulcent, astringent and antidiarrheal. It’s good for diarrhea, colitis where there is too much mucus and IBS. It has been used in Austria and Germany for prostate inflammations. It’s good for people that have food sensitivities, i.e. people that get cramps from all kinds of food. Good for asthma and whooping cough (pertussis) because of  its demulcent properties.

Active ingredients: E.g. Ascorbic Acid, Carotene, Tannin, Alkaloids and Mucilage.

How to use: 1 teaspoon in a cup of boiling water, steeped for 20 minutes, 3 times a day.
